Pass Plus
Pass plus is a road safety initiative designed to reduce the risk of new drivers being involved in an accident.
Statistics show that newly qualified drivers (what ever their age!) are more likely to have an accident within the first 2 years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career.
Pass plus offers new drivers professional tuition to help them:
- Gain more driving experience safely
- Become more skilful drivers, developing better hazard awareness and anticipation skills
- Develop a positive driving style which is both enjoyable and safe and a correct attitude to other road users
- Reduce the risk of being involved in an accident
Drivers who successfully complete the course will be offered a discount on their insurance premiums by participating companies (subject to status).

Pass Plus is additional training NOT a test.
The syllabus is divided into 6 modules:
- Introduction and town driving
- All weather driving
- Out of town driving and rural roads
- Night driving
- Dual carriageways
- Motorways
